Emmanuelites,
in opening devotions,
included Messiah for their worship,
confessing him incarnate God,
wondering
what marvels they could anticipate,
if God assumed a human form
would angels respond in kind?
or, perhaps withdraw
to make more space
for beings of the human kind
to make of creation
a shout of joyful praise?
What of stars,
would they be multiplied
or merely harnessed
to extend Messiah’s dominance?
or more Messiahs
to join with him
in a million-Messiah expression
in the presence
of an infinite Divinity?
As he expends
his public ministry
and wonderworks
what glorification
will allow him full involvement
in a Father-Spirit triangulation
of God in the glory of love?
He will remake the world
in wonder,
like the wedding in Cana
awash in wine,
with a rendezvous in space
awash with stars,
for decoration and for glory,
with a human transfigured
outshining the galaxies
in glorification of glory,
for what has been will continue to be,
from image to deification’s reality.
