Our Annual St. Fidelis Alumni Picnic & Reunion took place on Saturday, August 2nd. It was the great Franciscan feast of Our Lady of Angels, and it started out with a Mass for those who were able to make it our motherhouse chapel in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville district. The main celebrant for the Mass was our Provincial minister, Bob Marva, OFM Cap., and some alumni-friars were able to be there as well.

Dave Schaffner ('81) did the yeoman's task of planning and execution, along with classmate Tom Fait. He had many a remembrance on display for those who could make it. He wrote:

The deal with the memorabilia is that, when I’m gone, the Capuchins get first dibs on everything. But since they don’t need 4 copies of the same yearbooks, etc., etc., the rest will go to the Butler County Historical Society or the Heinz History Center.
Bernie Schott ('71) donated the small black and red pennant and a bunch of other cool paper memorabilia to the growing collection of SFS memorabilia. The red and white pennant came from Tom Fait ('81).
Dave also noted that he's collected quite a lot of St.Fidelis-related artifacts.
One of those he highlighted on Facebook:
I purchased this post card from EBay several years ago. It was from a then “Br.” Ward to Jeff Florian inviting him to the annual Alumni Bball game in 1976. It has been returned to its rightful owner!!

And, of course, the Class of 1975 was able to gather for their 50th Anniversary Year Reunion!
