The Capuchin Formation Program (CFP) is a program for College men who have made the choice to study in an undergradute seminary setting while they discern the Lord's call to life as a Capuchin Friar in community.
At Borromeo Seminary, the College formation program of the Diocese of Cleveland, OH, we help the candidates appreciate the distinctiveness of a vocation to the Capuchin-Franciscan life to which a person may be called as a lay friar or an ordained friar.
The academically accredited program is affiliated with both John Carroll University and Lakeland Community College. where a wide range of majors are available. In preparation for future studies in Theology, those discerning the call to priesthood in the Church are required to major in Philosophy.
We Capuchins believe that the Lord speaks to us in a special way during the formative years of our young adulthood - our College Formation Program serves your vocation by providing an atmosphere of regular prayer lived in a community of brothers, providing special skills which will strengthen and enable your call to vows of poverty, chastity and obedience when your college studies are completed.
Explore how you can apply for your Freshman Year in 2023-2024, how you can prepare your transfer from your current school or how you can arrange a visit to Borromeo and meet other young men who share the same dream.
